Welcome to United Way of Cape Breton
OUR MISSION:
To improve lives and build communities by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action in Cape Breton.
"THANK'S TO YOU, IT'S WORKING..."
The United Way of Cape Breton was founded in 1959 to raise funds for ten local Health and Welfare agencies. At that time, $100,000 was raised. The consistent and growing success of our organization is clearly evident as in 2005, we shattered our campaign goal of $530,000 by raising $607,561 - a 20% increase from the 2004 total. Thank you for helping us surpass our 2007 goal of $650,000 by $25,000, raising $675,000.00 as we continue to build Cape Breton into a healthy and helpful environment for people of all walks of life. Our 2008 goal is $700,000. There are several ways you may get involved including donating as an individual or corporation through payroll deductions, or even volunteering at a special event. We greatly appreciate all of the much needed support. Why support the United Way of Cape Breton? ... Because we live here!

United Way is one of the best things we've got going in our community. United Way once-a-year campaign raises money for human care agencies on this island efficiently, and with low costs.
