4th Annual United Way / Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Golf Classic - 2010 date to be determined, The United Way of Cape Breton along with The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles will join forces to host the sixth installment of a growing Golf Tournament at The Lingan Golf and Country Club. The one day event will consist of approx. 30 teams made up of various Cape Breton businesses and their employees, along with one member of the Screaming Eagles organization per team. All participants and volunteers will be treated to a dinner, gift packages, and a raffle of various prizes supplied by the Screaming Eagles. Both, the United Way and the Eagles Organization, are extremely optimistic about the event's success as the inaugural "Classic" raised over $8500 to be contributed to United Way member agencies. The third raised close to $10,000, which brings the total to over $25,000 for the three years. This tournament is an encouraging addition to the many United Way events that continue to help build a stronger community.
